All-New Nissan Tekton to Debut in Nepal at NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026
The all-new Nissan Tekton is set to make its Nepal debut at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, where it will be showcased by Pioneer Moto Corp, the authorized distributor of Nissan vehicles in Nepal.
Unveiled globally in July 2026, the Tekton becomes Nissan's newest premium SUV and is expected to strengthen the brand's presence in Nepal's competitive mid-size SUV segment.
The Nissan Tekton will be offered with two turbocharged petrol engine options. The entry-level 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 99 hp and 166 Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
Buyers seeking more performance can opt for the 1.3-litre turbo GDi engine, which develops 160 hp and 280 Nm of torque and is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) transmission.
According to Nissan, the 1.3-litre turbo engine delivers a balance of performance and efficiency. Claimed fuel economy stands at 19.5 km/l for the 1.0-litre manual, 17.8 km/l for the 1.3-litre manual, and 18.5 km/l for the 1.3-litre DCT.
Inspired by the iconic Nissan Patrol, the Tekton features a bold front fascia with slim LED headlamps, signature vertical daytime running lights, a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps.
Measuring 4.3 metres in length with a 2.6-metre wheelbase, it offers 518 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,789 litres with the rear seats folded.
Inside, the SUV gets a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Google integration, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, leatherette upholstery, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate, and a 360-degree camera on higher variants.
Safety is another highlight, with the Tekton offering six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Warning.
The SUV has also secured a 5-star BNCAP safety rating, scoring 30.49 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 for child occupant protection.
The Tekton is set to compete in Nepal's highly contested mid-size SUV segment, where it will go up against models including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate.
